Junior B: Our Junior Bs face Killavullen (Cork) in the Munster Junior B Hurling Championship Final this Sunday January 21st at 14:00 in Raheenagh, Co. Limerick. Please make the effort to get to this match and support the panel and management team as it will be greatly appreciated.

U21 Football: Our U21 footballers open their campaign this Saturday January 20th at 15:00 in The Outside Field against JK Brackens Óg.

AGM: Our Annual Convention takes place this Friday January 19th in the Clubhouse at 20:00. A mass for deceased members will take place at 19:30. Nomination forms are available on the home page of our website www.thurlessarsfields.com and also behind the bar in the clubhouse. N.B Only fully paid up members for 2017 are entitled to vote on the night.

Lotto: Congratulations to Geraldine Lawlor who won the jackpot of €18,000 in our club lotto recently.

Congratulations: We would like to congratulate the Presentation Secondary School Thurles on winning the Munster Senior A Camogie Final at the weekend who were coached by Cian Treacy.

Referees Course: A foundation course for new referees will be run in our clubhouse starting in February. NEW Referees FOUNDATION COURSE (Thurles Sarsfields Clubhouse – ALL 7:30pm) Module 1 Tuesday 13 Feb 2018 Module 2 Tuesday 20 February 2018 Module 4 Tuesday 27 February 2018 Module 3 To be completed ON LINE (Timed Module) between 21st Feb and 26th Feb 2018.

Award 1 Adult Football Coaching Course:  The Award 1 Football course will start on Monday 22nd January 2018 and will run over five nights inclusive. To book places on these courses please email kevin.halley.gda.tipperary@gaa.ie asap. Places will be limited so booking is essential. Cost of the course will be 50 euro per coach strictly paid prior to the course starting. Award 1 Adult Football Coaching Course, January 2018. Modules include: 1.Technical Football skill Development workshop. 2.Physical fitness for the club player. 3.Sports Physiology and implementation. 4.Video analysis and playing stats. 5.Building the players Teamplay and Tactical Prowess through game based Coaching. Course dates include 22nd,29th January 5th,12,19th Feb. Time - 7.30pm - 9.30 pm nightly. Venue - Dr Morris Park.

Club Officer Training: Following successful Club Officer Training nights held in Nenagh and Ballykisteen early in 2017, similar sessions have been arranged for 2018 as follows: Thursday 25th January in the Anner Hotel, Thurles. Wednesday 31st January in Clonmel Park Hotel. These are aimed at clubs in the Mid and South divisions, but clubs from the North and West are also welcome, especially if they have newly-appointed officers. 8 officers from each club will be invited to attend, i.e. Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer and PRO of the Adult Club and similarly from the Juvenile Club/Committee.
